Asian Glazed Venison Meatball Nibbles

Cooking Method

  1. To make meatballs, combine meatball ingredients and mix well. Roll into approximately 24 balls. Cover and refrigerate until required.
  2. To make glaze, combine all ingredients in a small pot and gently heat until sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
  3. Add 1/2 Tbsp Beef Tallow to a large frying pan and bring to medium heat. If you’d prefer bite-sized meatballs, break each meatball in half and roll into 2 smaller ones.
  4. Brown meatballs on all sides, then remove from heat leave meatballs in the warm pan for approximately 3 minutes to allow them to cook through.
  1. Pour glaze over meatballs, then arrange glazed meatballs on a platter or plate. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced scallions.
  2. Serve meatballs with tooth picks and napkins as a fantastic gourmet appetizer.

This recipe also works well served with rice or noodles and Asian veg.
