We deliver to all urban North and South Island addresses. Orders are dispatched Monday – Thursday on an overnight service for delivery the following day. Our shipping rate is $9.50 nationwide and we offer free delivery for all orders over $200.
We aim to get your order processed and dispatched within 2 working days. Once your order is dispatched, an automated track and trace email will be sent so you can track your order from depot to door. Please check your spam folder if you don’t receive this.
All orders containing perishable product are shipped with authority to leave instructions. We are unable to deliver directly to rural addresses as an overnight service is not available. For our rural customers, we have the option to deliver your order to the nearest NZ Courier depot or agent for collection. We will contact you to confirm collection before dispatching your order.

NZThe marble scoring is not up with overseas levels. I have always been disappointed with the marbling on First Light compared to the same MBS scores from meat I have imported from Australia and Japan. I think it is unregulated here and MBS scoring is being used very generously. Meat is high quality though. Good trim also.

We’d like to explain our marble scoring process to help address your concerns. Firstly, our marble scoring system is specific to grass-fed beef and doesn’t directly compare with Japanese or grain-fed products. Japanese Wagyu cattle are grain-fed and often restricted in mobility to maximise fat. In contrast, our cattle are 100% grass-fed and finished, raised on open pastures where they roam freely resulting in a different marbling and flavour profile. Our marbling scale follows the AUS-MEAT system, an independent organisation that sets standards and provides auditing for meat grading in Australia and New Zealand. Our graders are certified and audited twice a year to ensure meat grading is consistent and meets strict quality standards.
