  • Shipping and returns

    We deliver to all urban North and South Island addresses. Orders are dispatched Monday – Thursday on an overnight service for delivery the following day. Our shipping rate is $9.50 nationwide and we offer free delivery for all orders over $200.

    We aim to get your order processed and dispatched within 2 working days. Once your order is dispatched, an automated track and trace email will be sent so you can track your order from depot to door. Please check your spam folder if you don’t receive this.

    All orders containing perishable product are shipped with authority to leave instructions. We are unable to deliver directly to rural addresses as an overnight service is not available. For our rural customers, we have the option to deliver your order to the nearest NZ Courier depot or agent for collection. We will contact you to confirm collection before dispatching your order.

    As we are sending perishable product, we are unable to accept returns. If an order is incorrect or experiences a shipping delay, please contact us at [email protected]

    Venison Shortloin order problems

    The first disappointment was that the instead of 500g of product as ordered we received 420g which left our meal short of meat. An online enquirey was made regarding a possible over-charge but there was no response from First Light. Secondly, the couriers left the package in an exposed location which caused the meat to thaw. Whilst somewhat unfortunate, the packaging around the meat was not sealed which allowed the thawed liquid to leak throughout the packaging and onto the driveway. This caused a substantial mess along with a significant loss of moisture from the venison. Given the above issues and a lack of response from First Light from our initial enquiry it is unlikely that we will purchase anything from this company again.
