Tony and Louise Bayliss farm 200 hectares,  south east of Masterton in the rolling limestone Maungaraki hill country. “Ngahere” has been in the family for 85 years with Tony taking over from his dad in the mid 1970s and running a sheep and cattle operation. “I’ve always been excited by new challenges and 30 years ago ventured into deer farming, finally getting out of sheep some 7 years ago.  But I felt there was definitely something more we could do to get the most out of our farm and the best out of life.” The principles and values of First Light’s farming really struck a chord with us and we feel privileged being part of the First Light family.

The ability to forward plan, to raise beautiful stress free animals and be involved right through the growth and marketing cycle is an exciting and rewarding journey to be on at this stage of our farming lives. We would love to meet you and show you why New Zealand Grassfed Wagyu cattle produce the best beef in the world.
