Asian glazed venison meatball nibbles

Impress your guests with these easy, delicious glazed venison meatballs as a gourmet appetiser or bulk them up with rice or noodles and Asian veggies to make a meal for four.


  1. To make glaze, combine all ingredients in a small pot and gently heat until sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
  2. Add 1/2 Tbsp vegetable oil in a large frying pan and bring to medium heat. If you'd prefer bite-sized meatballs, break each meatball in half and roll into 2 smaller ones.
  3. Brown meatballs on all sides, then remove from heat and leave meatballs in the warm pan for approximately 3 minutes to allow them to cook through.


Pour glaze over meatballs, then arrange glazed meatballs on a platter or plate. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and spring onion.

Serve meatballs with tooth picks and napkins as a fantastic gourmet appetiser.
